CLAA to host student Art Competition


The Canyon Lake Art Association (CLAA) student Art Contest is open to students in grades 10 through 12 who reside in Canyon Lake. The winning entries will be honored at 1 p.m. during the annual CLAA Art Show at the Canyon Lake Country Club on May 7.

The first place winner will receive a cash prize of $150, second place will receive $100 and third place will receive $50.

The mail-in entry form registration is due by Monday, April 24. Registration forms can be downloaded at

All artwork must be two dimensional. It can be in any subject matter and any medium. Artwork must be finished and framed ready to hang. Artwork not ready to hang will not be accepted.

Entries must be dropped off at the senior center on May 1 between the hours of 6 and 8 p.m. and include a copy of the registration form attached to the back of the artwork.

All non-winning entries must be picked up at the Senior Center on May 8 between the hours of 6 and 8 p.m.
