Seventeen ladies from the Canyon Lake Garden Club toured the Heritage House on April 11. The Victorian Riverside house was built in 1891. Today, it’s a reminder of the affluent homes which once graced Magnolia Ave.

“The docents were dressed in Victorian style and the home is still decorated like it would have been when it was built. The docents knew a lot about the era and the customs of the wealthy at that time,” said Garden Club member Leann Kluck. “We got a good look at the way things were back then. The home is beautiful and well kept.”

After the tour, the ladies enjoyed lunch on the patio at the Cheesecake Factory. “It was a very relaxed lunch, as our conversations were many,” said Leann.

The committee members for this trip were Rosalie Giroux, Christy Bruce and Leann Kluck.
