Woman’s Club wraps up Fashion Show pre-parties

The Woman’s Club will wrap up its Fashion Show pre-parties this evening, April 14. The fifth and final Fashion Show pre-party will be held at the home of Barbara Duncan at 6 p.m. The club invites members of the community to attend. The theme is “Beauty and the Beast.” Costumes are not mandatory but are encouraged. To RSVP, call Barbara at 951-415-9098.

A $10 ticket at the door includes themed appetizers, alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink of choice and an entry into the grand prize drawing with $2,500 in cash prizes.

Fashion Show Chair Lyne Hall said, “These parties are held at the homes of club members and are a great way to get to know everyone, not to mention it’s also for a worthwhile cause.”

The proceeds from the pre-parties go toward the final total of the club’s annual Fashion Show. The Fashion Show raised $19,000 last year, a hefty chunk of the over $35,000 the club gave away to local charities and in the form of scholarships to girls who live in Canyon Lake.

The annual Fashion Show will be held on Friday, April 28, in the Holiday Bay Room at the lodge. Tickets are $45, half of which is tax deductible. The Fashion Show theme is “Once Upon a Time.”

Due to the popularity of allowing people who bought an entire table (8 seats) to dress it up in keeping with the theme, the club has decided to allow it again this year. To purchase Fashion Show tickets, contact Sue Collins at suecollinsrealtor@gmail.com. For more information about the Fashion Show, contact Lyne Hall at 951-244-2101.
