Bassmasters announce monthly tournament winners for April

The Canyon Lake Bassmasters Club held its April tournament on Saturday, April 8. The team of Mark White and Danny Batinich came out on top with 21.30 pounds of fish. Mark took the title of “Big Fish of the Day,” with his 7.88 bass, just missing the big bass fund that is paid out with an eight pounder.

Coming in second place in the tournament was the team of Steve Oskey and Jim Wright with 15.89 pounds. Damon Hole and Brian Hohn took third place with 13.70 pounds.

The Bassmasters Club meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Magnolia Room at the country club. Residents who like to fish and want to improve their skills in a low stress, friendly competitive environment are welcome to join.
