Three day horse Camp for kids begins Monday

Horse Camp will be offered at the Equestrian Center on April 10, 11 and 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The camp is for children ages five to 15.

The program is taught by Kathleen Elliott, an ARIA certified trainer who holds many championship titles.

The program is designed to be a positive first introduction to horses. Through horse-related games and activities, campers will learn about the care of horses, their characteristics, breeds, colors and safe riding techniques.

Horse riding will be based on ability and experience. Safety and education are emphasized.

The cost is $300 (daily rates also available). A reservation fee of $50 (credited towards camp cost) is required. Snacks, drinks, horse crafts and workbooks will be provided.
