Summer Golf Camp returns to Canyon Lake Golf Course

The Canyon Lake summer Junior Golf Camp will return to the Golf Course July 10 through July 14 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Jr. Golf Camp is for children ages 5 to 17.  The cost for the week is $35 per golfer, which includes instructions, awards, gift and barbeque. The barbeque will be held on Friday July 14 at 2 p.m.

Golf Camp is hosted by the Golf Pro Shop staff. Instructors will focus on different techniques from putting and chipping to pitching and driving. Children will be divided by age and skill level.

In addition to Junior Golf Camp, the Canyon Lake Golf Course offers Junior Golf Lessons and a Junior Golf Program.

Junior golf lessons are $25 for a 30 minute session; $100 for five 30 minute sessions; $40 for a one hour session; $100 for three one hour sessions. Sign ups are taken at the Golf Pro Shop.

The Junior Golf Program is a level based program for children ages 5 to 17. There is testing every month to provide students with the ability to move on to a higher level. Once the student passes all three levels they are eligible to play with the advanced group.
