Sierra and McCoy marry

Sierra Macias and McCoy Nguyen wed on February 27.

Tammy and Chuy Macias are proud to announce the marriage of their daughter Sierra Macias to McCoy Nguyen. The couple married on February 27 at the San Diego Administration Center. Sierra and McCoy plan to hold a big wedding reception with all the trimmings this time next year

Sierra will be moving from Canyon Lake to Goose Creek, South Carolina, to live with her husband at the end of April. Sierra has lived in Canyon Lake for more than 10 years and has been very active in her community. She was a Canyon Lake/Riverside County Sheriff Explorer for two years and served on the Canyon Lake Royal Court for three years. She was crowned Miss Canyon Lake in 2014.

Sierra and McCoy became best friends the moment they met in 2015 and have been inseparable ever since. The mother of the bride said, “Sierra and McCoy bring out the best in each other and balance each other in every way. While Sierra loves Disney and Harry Potter, McCoy nerds out with Batman and video games.”

For McCoy and Sierra’s future, McCoy decided to join the military. He was sworn into the U.S. Navy in May 2016. “Military life is challenging but it has made the couple stronger, both individually and as a couple,” said Tammy.

Sierra’s parents and sister Katelynn are looking forward to sharing the couple’s journey as the grow in their life together as Mr. and Mrs. Nguyen.
