Residents are invited to tour five beautifully decorated homes on Sunday, December 4, during the Woman’s Club annual Holiday Home Tour. Canyon Lakers who look forward to seeing beautifully decorated homes during the holidays will want to mark their calendars for this event.
The theme of this year’s tour is “Once Upon a Christmas.” The homes of Ron and Melody Clark at 22576 Cascade Dr., Matt and Barbara Poland at 30688 Spyglass Way, Steven and Alexis Prince at 24125 Outrigger Dr. Randy and Mavis Schutz at 30563 Wood Duck Pl. and Steve and Melissa Usary at 22684 Calcutta Dr. will be on the Home Tour this year.
The Home Tour begins at the Lodge where maps for the self-guided tour will be available. Doors will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the holiday boutique, Christmas tree and wreath opportunity drawing and complimentary coffee and baked goods. Tour hours are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Tickets are $15 and are 100 percent tax deductible. A ticket is required for the tour; guests 12 years old and older are welcome. The opportunity drawing tickets are $1 each or six for $5. Tickets are available at the POA office. For more information, contact Terri Ireland at firstname.lastname@example.org or Rose Marie Hand at email@example.com.
In the weeks leading up to the Home Tour, The Friday Flyer will feature each of the five homes. This week’s feature is the home of Steve and Melissa Usary at 2684 Calcutta Dr.
As you approach this “story book” home, you will enter through a pathway, into a whimsical courtyard, decorated with snow and Christmas trees. As you cross the threshold of this lovely home you will be greeted with a sea of turquoise blue and lime green, with a grand view of the fairway and the 16th hole.
The great room hosts a large contemporary sectional and high back loveseat decorated splendidly for the holiday season. Breezing into the warm kitchen notice the wood cabinetry and granite complemented by the rich Tuscan pillars.
Venturing to the lower level you will find another grand living area which opens out to a backyard resort and entertainment area. The pool spa, and tropical bar presents an inviting area to look out over the golf course.
