Ninety seven turkeys donated to City Turkey, Food Drive

Residents donated 97 frozen turkeys and several dozen bags of fixings during the two hour food drive at City Hall on November 17.

The City says the 6th annual Frozen Turkey and Food Drive held at City Hall on Thursday, November 17 was a big success. Residents generously donated 97 frozen turkeys and several dozen bags of fixings during the two hour food drive. Some of the larger donations include 26 turkeys and 26 bags of fixings from Coldwell Banker agents and staff, 12 turkeys from the Canyon Lake POA, eight turkeys from the Car Club, two turkeys and 12 bags of food from the 9ers Golf Club, seven turkeys from the Tennis Club, six turkeys from Ted and Nancy Horton and four turkeys and fixings from Dave and Sharon Eilers.

The food collected at the drive was donated to HOPE (Helping Our People in Elsinore). Services provided by HOPE help to benefit more than 100 families from Canyon Lake.
