Valerie Montgomery

Valerie and her husband Travis purchased their home in Canyon Lake in 1999. The Montgomerys became full-time residents and active community volunteers when they retired in 2004. For the last nine years Valerie has served on the POA Green Committee, which is responsible for the playability of the Golf Course. She’s served as the club’s chairperson for the last four years. In the Women’s Golf club, Valerie has served on the Board and as the president. She was active on the committee seeking outside golf memberships for the Country Club and, in October, helped to coordinate the “Resident Appreciation Golf Day.” Valerie collects toiletries from fellow golfers for Project HOPE. In addition to her volunteer work at the Golf Course, Valerie is an active member of the Travel Club. She’s served on the Travel Club Board and coordinated day trips for the club for the last three years. She is a former member of the Yacht Club and Woman’s Club, A former Director of Fundraising for the American Cancer Society, Valerie now spends most of her time as a volunteer in Canyon Lake.
