Seniors invited to Senior Center holiday parties

It’s not too early for seniors to start planning their holiday gatherings. Canyon Lake seniors 55 years and older are invited to a Christmas dinner party and a New Year’s Eve dinner-dance party at the Senior Center.

The Christmas dinner will be held on Sunday, December 11, from 5 to 8 p.m. Dinner will be served at 5 p.m. Non-alcoholic drinks and dessert are included. This sit-down dinner also includes a 6:30 p.m. performance by the talented Canyon Lake Choraleers.

There is no charge to attend the Christmas dinner; however, reservations are limited to the first 75 people to sign up. Reservations are being accepted now at the POA office. Early reservations are highly recommended.

The New Year’s Eve dinner-dance is Saturday, December 31, from 6 to 11 p.m. The New Year celebration and champagne toast is at 10 p.m. Party favors will be provided. This is a semi-formal event that includes a sit-down dinner. A DJ will provide entertainment for the evening.

“The New Year’s Eve dinner-dance is an amazing event for seniors! Everyone who comes wishes it could last longer,” says Marjean Marich.

Tickets cost $28 and go on sale at the POA office on Monday, December 5. Seating is limited to 63 people. For more information, contact Marjean Marich at marjeanm@me.com.
