According to resident and Poll Site Coordinator Delfina McKee, this year was one of the best for voter turnout. “I have worked the election polls for years and have never seen that many people show up to vote,” she says. In support of childhood cancer awareness the City Council approved Resolution No. 2016-32, declaring November 8 as the official Canyon Lake PJammin Day. Residents were encouraged to wear pajamas for the day, including to the election polls, to help bring awareness to childhood cancer and the American Childhood Cancer Organization’s PJammin for Kids with Cancer Program.
