Five homes featured on Holiday Home Tour

Residents who look forward to seeing beautifully decorated homes during the holidays will want to mark their calendars for the Woman’s Club Holiday Home Tour on Sunday, December 4.

The theme of this year’s tour is “Once Upon a Christmas.” The homes of Ron and Melody Clark at 22576 Cascade Dr., Matt and Barbara Poland at 30688 Spyglass Way, Steven and Alexis Prince at 24125 Outrigger Dr., Randy and Mavis Schutz at ​30563 Wood Duck Pl. and Steve and Melissa Usary at 22684 Calcutta Dr. will be on the Home Tour this year.

The Home Tour begins at the Lodge where maps for the self-guided tour will be available. Doors will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the holiday boutique, Christmas tree and wreath opportunity drawing and complimentary coffee and baked goods. Tour hours are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Tickets are $15 and are 100 percent tax deductible. A ticket is required for the tour; guests 12 years old and older are welcome. The opportunity drawing tickets are $1 each or six for $5. In the weeks leading up to the Home Tour, The Friday Flyer will feature each of the five homes. This week’s feature is the home of Steven and Alexis Prince at 24125 Outrigger Dr.

When visitor approach the home of Steven and Alexis Prince they experience a feeling of the southwest. After entering the eight foot double doors visitors see a luxurious more traditional space.

They have decorated three Christmas trees, including one pencil tree with charming Thomas Kinkade Santa ornaments. Alexis has a professional office that includes her cookbook collection and extensive design books that influence her interior design work.

The master bedroom is adorned with stunning Indonesian solid mahogany furniture.  It has a grand balcony with a lovely view of the mountains.

After descending the staircase to the to the lower level, visitors will find an original photographic college of Steve’s memorable 15 years as an actor. This entertaining space includes foosball and pool tables, a grand piano and an inviting bar with a wine barrel presentation. The outside pool area has a wonderful digital display that lights up the night.
