Teens participate in road cleanup

A group of teens participate in the Canyon Lake Community Care Program’s roadway cleanup efforts on Saturday, October 29. Led by Pastor Jay Farwell, the group picked up litter from the roadside outside the East Gate. Many of the teens were able to earn community service hours for their efforts while interacting with local community leaders.  Spokesperson Robert Sasser says, “Captain John and the crew from Quail Valley Fire Station 5 took time to stop by and encourage the team as they made their way from East Gate to Railroad Canyon Rd. and back. A big shout out to Paul Queen, Bruce Yarbrough, Dawn Haggerty, Dale Welty and Ted and Nancy Horton for helping to encourage many youths from our community.”
