Canyon Lake Scouts raise money for Military

Cub Scouts Pack 346 raised more than $500 for Popcorn for the Military/Veterans during its annual popcorn sales this year. In order to give back more locally, this year the Pack worked with Veterans Supplemental Support Network (VSSN) to distribute the donated popcorn to local veterans at Western Eagle in Temecula. The Scouts who raised the most money for military/veteran donations had the opportunity to hand out the donations during VSSNs monthly outreach program on November 5. For more information on VSSNs services visit http://www.vetsupportnet.org.

In October, Pack 346 Scouts and their families attended the annual Eerie Emerson Campout at Boesker Scout Ranch in Idyllwild. The weekend was hosted by Boy Scout Troop 2011 where many Cub Scouts from Pack 346 graduate to after completing their Arrow of Light. This year the Pack earned honors for the Most Kid Friendly Campsite with a “Nightmare Before Christmas” themed site thanks to the decorating skills of the Caglia family whose son, Logan, is a Wolf Scout in the Pack. Scouts Liam McColley, Baron Sidwell and Bladen Hartley all earned Best Costume awards at their rank level and the scout leader won the Mummy Wrap competition against the many other Packs and Troops in attendance.

Cub Scouts Pack 346 serves Canyon Lake and Lake Elsinore and is for boys in grades 1 through 5. New Scouts are welcomed throughout the year. For more information, email socalpack346@gmail.com or call 951-363-3346.
