June Bray

June Marie Bray, 83, passed away in Claremont, California on August 30, 2016.

June was born in Phillipsburg, Kansas to Earl and Nellie McCue. She attended Phillipsburg High School where she met and married Donald Bray in 1950, becoming a minister’s wife at 17.  June was a true anchor to Don and his calling to ministry, where they both impacted many people throughout their lifetimes. June also worked outside the home as a secretary, working many years at Focus on the Family.

June’s talents were many. She was an award-winning quilter and member of the Valley Quilter’s Guild, avid reader, world traveler, wonderful secretary, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

June was preceded in death by her husband, the Reverend Dr. Donald Bray; parents Earl and Nellie McCue; and brother Hardy McCue.

June is survived by her sister Merna Derrick and niece Dawna Derrick both of Dallas; daughter and son-in-law Terri and Mark Douglas of Dana Point; son Paul Bray of Nevada; daughter and son-in-law Suzanne and Brad Johnson of San Dimas; grandson Brett Douglas and wife Carolyn of Anaheim Hills; granddaughter Lauren Jung and husband Ryan of Mission Viejo; and two great-grandsons Zachary Douglas and Logan Jung.
