The Dohertys explore heritage in Ireland

Greg and Julie Doherty have been dreaming about exploring their Irish heritage for years. This August 2016, they decided that a self guided/driving week around the island of Ireland was the way to go.

One of their favorite stops on their adventure was just outside of Dublin where they visited the Blarney Castle and kissed the Blarney Stone. Julie says, “The gardens surrounding the castle were exquisite, as was the rest of Ireland. The people of Ireland were extremely friendly and helpful. The weather in August was perfect.”

Other highlights of their trip included the Guiness Beer Museum, the Cliffs of Moher, the city of Kinsale and Northern Ireland’s city of Belfast. Each night they stayed in a different B&B. The Dohertys highly recommend a visit “across the pond,” calling it “a magical place to visit and explore.”
