Partner Blind Draw

The Tennis Club held a Partner Blind Draw and Barbecue Tennis Tournament on August 20 and congratulates the following winners:

1st: Yasmin Johnson, Russ Muscarella

2nd: Jenny Elliot

3rd: Lucy Coffield, John Haas

4th: Sue Muscarella, Dave Martilla

5th: Greg Albright, Saleshnie Sukram, George Middle

Club members also celebrated Tennis Pro Baba Soysa, who turns 40 on September 1. Baba has been the club pro almost 14 years. President Marga Kidd says, “It is under his direction that we now have seven USTA adult teams that compete, and many of our juniors taking the local high schools to CIF. Our program is still growing – we have more players and members than we have ever had!”

The Tennis Club invites residents to come out for Social Play on Mondays and Fridays at 8 a.m. It is open to all levels of players and is a way to meet other players without committing to a schedule. For more information, contact Dave Harrigan at 951-746-3460 or davenjean@canyontennis.net.
