In Memoriam: Ann Coleman-White-Wilks

A61-PIC-obit-Ann-WilksAnn Coleman-White-Wilks peacefully passed away at her home in Canyon Lake at age 92 on August 2, 2016.

Ann was born and raised in Lorain, Ohio. Soon after high school she moved with her family to Riverside, California where she married Henry White and had two children, Prudence of Riverside, and Larry of Costa Mesa.

She retired from the County of Riverside Assessors Office after 27 years.

In 1986 she married Thomas Wilks and became a resident of Canyon Lake. She was very active in many clubs and organizations: Woman’s Club, Lioness, Roadrunners, Travel Club, and Riverside Community Players. She also was a lifelong member of her sorority, Beta Sigma Phi.

Some of her favorite pastimes were traveling, RVing, golfing and going to baseball games to see The Lake Elsinore Storm, where she was an annual season ticket holder from their first season.

Ann is survived by her son Larry White, stepson Larry Wilks and stepdaughter Cindy Wilks-Gee. She also had five grandchildren: Staci, Mathew, Chris, Dan, Heather; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Prudence Huston, and her husband, Thomas Wilks.

Ann’s life will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24, at Evans Brown Mortuary Chapel; 27010 Encanto Dr. in Sun City, CA  92585.
