Volunteering at Glen Eyrie

Bob and Kathy Sanchez can be seen in their photograph standing in front of the Glen Eyrie Castle in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where they serve as volunteers.

The English Tudor-style castle locatedf behind them was built 1871 by General William Jackson Palmer, the founder of Colorado Springs. It is situated on 800 secluded acres adjacent to the “Garden of the Gods” rock formations (now a city park).

The facility is owned by Navigators, an international, interdenominational Christian ministry established in 1933. It currently serves as a retreat and conference center; though the public is invited to visit from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. seven days a week, unless there is a private event such as large retreat or wedding.

Kathy says it’s also a serene getaway for guests and is “truly an Inspiring place.”
