The Canyon Lake Men’s Golf Club’s Championship Tournament concluded Sunday, June 12. It was a four-day event, held over two weekends, (June 4-5 and June 11-12). As the Men’s Golf Club’s major tournament of the year, it was a gross stroke play event, with four age divisions: Club Champion, all ages; Senior Champion, 55 to 64; Super Senior Champion, 65 to 74; and Master’s Champion, 75 and above. Forty-three players participated.
According to Tournament Director Bill Levis, the final match of the tournament to determine the Club Champion was very exciting and went to one playoff hole. Winning as Club Champion was Brandon Mojarro.
The Senior Champion was Marcus Schonabaum. The Super Senior Champion was Richard Messer. And the Master’s Champion was Fred Finger.
