This section provides information submitted by Canyon Lake clubs regarding activities and upcoming events. Family Matters Club

The next monthly meeting will be at Taco Tuesday on June 28. The group will host a pirate treasure dig and sand castle-building contest on Sunset Beach. Members are invited to bring their own dinner. Activities will take place between 5:30 and 7 p.m., with prizes and judging taking place at 7:15.

Jr. Women’s Club

Anyone interested in meeting the ladies of the Jr. Women’s Club and/or obtaining information on joining the club is welcome to contact Heather Rose at 951-591-8168 or canyonlakejwc@gmail.com. The club will be “dark” until its next meeting on September 7; however, most weeks during the summer months the JWC will be setting up their EZ-Up at Taco Tuesday at the Lodge. Feel free to stop by and say “hi.”

Travel Club

Travel Club functions are open to Canyon Lakers who would like to attend even though they aren’t a member of the club. They are invited to call the person in charge of the event and arrangements can be made to attend and get acquainted with the club.

Paddle Club

The Canyon Lake Paddle Club members have begun their monthly paddles on the lake. Anyone with a kayak or canoe is welcome. Paddlers start at Diamond Point and go through the tunnel to the Lodge and back. The club meets the first Thursday of every month. While waiting for everyone to arrive, members enjoy social hour from 5 to 5:45 p.m. Paddle time is from 5:45 to 7.The group’s Facebook page is www.facebook.com/groups/467563666742514/.
