9ers Golf Club announces upcoming tournaments

The 9ers Golf Club will be hosting its monthly Partners Scramble on Sunday, April 3, at 2 p.m. Ladies can pick their own partner or they will be paired with someone. After golf, many of the players enjoy a relaxing dinner together. This is open to all Canyon Lake golfers.

On April 21, 9ers is hosting a Spring Scholarship Tournament. This is a fundraiser, with all proceeds presented as a scholarship to a local student who has a passion for golf and a desire to continue their education. Lunch and prizes will follow the nine holes of play. Sign up for both tournaments in the Golf Pro Shop.

It was a “top of the morning” kind of day on March 17 when the 9ers Golf Club did their Irish jig (gig) on the Golf Course. Members Maureen Locken and Margie Zing experienced the luck of the Irish as Maureen hit her ball closest to the Blarney Stone and Margie was closest to the pin on hole 8. Spokesperson Kathy Sanchez says it was a “splendid day” and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
