Spring forward for Daylight Saving Time

This year, Daylight Saving Time begins on Sunday, March 13. The time change officially takes place at 2 a.m. and automatically gets adjusted on most smartphones, computers, tablets and other digital devices.

The fire department urges citizens to use this occasion to change batteries in smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors and make sure they are in working order.
