A Memorial Mass for Genevieve Lopez, 87, will be held at St. Vincent’s Catholic Church in Sun City on Friday, March 18, at 10:30 a.m. Genevieve died quietly, at the home of her daughter in Sun City, in the early morning hours of March 1, 2016.

She was born in El Paso, Texas and lived in Canyon Lake for 37 years. She and Joe, her husband of 48 years, owned Pepe’s Restaurant in Canyon Lake for 10 years. Together, they were very active in clubs, activities and community service.

Genevieve is survived by three daughters, Margarita, JoAnn and Jennifer, all of Sun City, along with eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great great- grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks friends to donate to Arbor Hospice of Hemet, whose staff made their journey a little easier.
