Miss Ginny’s Preschool Craft and Story time will be held next Friday, February 26, from 11:30 to 12:30, celebrating the birthday of Dr. Seuss. Miss Ginny says all kinds of zoo animals will be there.

A new program for teens, the Youth Leadership Program, has begun at the Canyon Lake Library. The program is an outreach of Toastmasters International and is being held in cooperation with the Canyon Lake Library.

The first meeting of the Youth Leadership program was on February 8, with four teens taking advantage of the opportunity. The eight-week program provides opportunities for young people to hold office, run meetings and develop their speaking skills. New participants may still join the monthly program at the March 14 meeting. The program meets at 4 p.m. the second Tuesday of the month.

Another program for teens is the teen book club, “The Perks of Being in a Book Club.” Check with the Library for upcoming dates and the book being discussed.

Spanish Time was rescheduled to Monday, February 22, at 3 p.m. Toddler Story Time also will be that day at 11 a.m.

The Canyon Lake Knitters meet every Wednesday at 11 a.m. for anyone knitting or wanting to learn. The program is both educational and social as participants support each other in the project and material challenges.

Family Movie Night will be on Monday, February 29, at 4 p.m., with free popcorn and the movie, “The Good Dinosaur.”

The Canyon Lake Library is located inside the City Hall building. It’s open Mondays, 10 to 7, Wednesdays and Fridays, 10 to 6, and Saturdays 10 to 3. It’s closed Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. The Canyon Lake Library is a member of the Riverside County Library System (www.rivlib.net) honoring cards and returns from other affiliated libraries. It has a Facebook page. For more information, call 951-244-9181.
