In Memorium: Gary Burgess

Graveside services will be held for Gary Burgess at noon today, February 12, at Elsinore Valley Cemetery, 18170 Collier Ave, in Lake Elsinore. Gary passed away January 9, 2016 in his sleep while convalescing at his grandson’s home after a long illness.

Gary was born July 19, 1951 in Los Angeles. He lived in Canyon Lake for 20 years with his recently deceased wife, Lilly. Friends say he was not one to sit and relax much, and was an avid boater, golfer and fisherman. He was a member of the Men’s Golf Club, Travel Club and CLAMS.

“Always looking to save a buck, Gary would drive a hard bargain, but was extremely generous to his family and fortunate friends,” says Richard Dettelbach. “He frequently would offer his time and service to friends in need.”
