Holiday Harbor has a brand new playground

DSC04076The new playground equipment at Holiday Harbor is complete! With patriotic colors of red, white and blue, it should be a bright and fun place for the children to play. “As part of the Canyon Lake Beautification Initiative, we hope families of Canyon Lake enjoy this new playground,” says CLPOA General Manager Chris Mitchell.

Members of the Board of Directors and several staff members were on hand at the ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday afternoon, February 4. A handful of children helped break in the new equipment, which includes several climbing structure and slides.

Now that the playground installation is complete at Holiday Harbor, the Association has moved on to replacing the playground at Steelhead Park. The installation is expected to take approximately two weeks to complete. This is scheduled to finish up next week. Signs are posted to notify residents of the work.

Roadrunner Park is closed as the large picnic pavilion undergoes renovation. A few items must be completed before permanent restrooms can be built at Roadrunner Park. Building plans have been approved; however, EVMWD is requiring certified engineering drawing details to show how the main sewage line will be connected with a sewer lift system, along with the installation of a commercial water meter. In addition, an architect needs to design a ramp system for ADA access to the park, which sits below street level.
