The Library’s Preschool Craft and Story Time on December 18 saw its biggest attendance ever, with 52 children and parents having the opportunity to learn about the North Pole, polar bears and other wild animals. Miss Ginny Furnish was assisted by Mr. Bill on piano and Miss Claudia from Spanish Class providing translation. In addition to stories and music, the children made crafts to take home and enjoyed a yogurt treat, courtesy of Yogurt Land.
The next Preschool Craft and Story Time is scheduled for Friday, January 29, at 11:30 a.m., with the theme of dinausaurs.
On Friday, January 8, at 4 p.m., the Library will begin a new program for teens, “The Perks of being in a Book Club.” This first meeting of the teen book club will be used to organize the workings of the club, such as selection of titles. Teens are encouraged to attend the meeting and contribute to the workings of the club. The club plans to meet monthly to discuss titles they select.
