Celebrate the holidays at the next Woman’s Club luncheon meeting on December 16, at 10 a.m. at the Lodge. Ladies are invited to come for a social hour and shopping at vendor displays, beginning at 9 a.m. Party with “Maxine” and enjoy a special music program by Aprile DeAnne. To participate in the gift exchange, bring a new $10 wrapped gift. Dress for the holidays.
Lunch will be mixed green salad with choice of dressing, fresh baked bread with butter, chicken pot pie, chicken salad, assorted cheese cake slices, coffee, iced tea and water (vegetarian option available). A special champaign toast will celebrate the season.

The Woman’s Club is a philanthropic organization dedicated to helping others in the community. The club also gives scholarships to local students to help them with college. For more information, contact Membership Chair Sue Collins at 951-246-2773.
Non-members can be included in Travel Club functions by calling the person in charge of the event. Arrangements can then be made for a non-member to attend the event of choice and get acquainted with the club.
A visit to Hotel Del Coronado is planned for December 3 to view holiday displays and enjoy dinner at the Hunter Steak House. This event is sold out.
The annual Christmas Dance will be held at the Lodge on December 4. This year’s theme is “Christmas in the Woods” and entertainment will be provided by Mike Shroyer. The cost is $40 for members and $45 for guests. For information, call Lyne Hall 951-244-2101.
Mexico’s “Copper Canyon by Train” is planned for February 19 to 27, 2016. This is not a Canyon Lake-only trip, so reservations are filling up fast. Call Lou DeYoung at 951-244-7100 for details.
Save the date of January 23, 2016 for a matinee performance at Tibbie’s Center Stage Fontana. This will be an interactive murder mystery event. This outing includes dinner and bus transportation. On March 21, 2016 “experience a divine culture” with Shen Yun at the Long Beach Terrace Theatre. The cost is #130 for members; $135 for guests. The deadline is January 10.

The Canyon Lake Choraleers announce a new seasonal and annual fundraising drive.
A Season Patron is a $50 contribution and entitles the patron to two tickets to the Season Show and a listing in the show’s program as a Patron.
An Annual Patron is a $75 contribution and entitles the Patron to two tickets to both shows plus a listing in both programs.
A Business Patron is a $100 contribution and entitles the business to two tickets to both shows and a business card advertisement in both programs.
The Choraleers’ Christmas Show is Saturday, December 12, at 3 p.m. at the Lodge. Tickets are 10 each and will be available next week. For tickets, contact firstname.lastname@example.org or any member of the Choraleers.
Twirlers Square Dance Club
The Twirlers square dance club meets Wednesdays at the Lodge starting at 6:15 p.m. Experienced dancers are encouraged to come to the plus level workshop from 6:15 to 7, then stay to help the new class members learn to square dance.
The Twirlers hold a regular square dance the second Sunday of each month, with advanced round dancing starting at 1:30 p.m., regular round dancing at 2 and squares at 2:30. For more information, contact Bill or Jackie Brown at 951-694-3650 or Rosalie Nusser at 951-244-0672.
During the school year, Kids Club meetings are held every Tuesday and Thursday, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., in the Sunset Beach Room at the Lodge. Kids Club is a program in which young children and their parents or grandparents enjoy a morning of crafts, music, exercise, games, sports and a snack for just $2 per session. All Canyon Lake women are invited to attend the Canyon Lake Association of Women (CLAWS) group bunco on the second Wednesday of the month in the Magnolia Room, downstairs at the Country Club. The cost is $10 per player. Participants are asked to bring canned and packaged food for the community cupboard. Game begins at 3 p.m., please arrive 15 mins early to pick up game card and sign in. Canyon Lake Association of Men
The Canyon Lake Association of Men (CLAMS) is an organization that has been in existence for the men of Canyon Lake for the last 42 years. CLAMS welcomes men of all ages who would like to participate in activities promoting the Canyon Lake community. Dues are $25 per year. The Car Club holds meetings the first Thursday of each month at the Lodge. Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by the general meeting at 6:30. Learn about upcoming events, listen to guest speakers and share automotive experiences. Finger foods will be served and a 50/50 drawing will round out the evening. Meetings of the Yacht Club are held on the fourth Thursday of the month at the Lodge. Boat ownership is not a criterion for membership. Members enjoy fun events throughout the year, including the Moonlight Cruise, Progressive Dinner, Lake Clean-Up and more. The Tennis Club invites residents to come out for Social Play on Mondays and Fridays at 9 a.m. It is open to all levels of players and is a way to meet other players without committing to a schedule. Family Matters Club
The Family Matters Club is open to all residents, young and old, kids or no kids. Monthly meetings are held the first day of the month, unless otherwise noted, and revolve around a fun theme with speakers, games, prize drawings, crafts, snack and social time. Locations vary. The club puts on several events throughout the year to benefit the community and to raise funds for future events and to provide philanthropic donations. Water Ski Club
The Ski Club is comprised of water skiers of all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced. The club hosts several ski competitions and community events, including Breakfast with Santa, Polar Bear Day, Learn to Ski Days and the Fiesta Day Ski Show.
The Canyon Lake Ski Club began in 1970 and is the largest 3-event USA Water Ski sanctioned club in the United States. For membership and general information, visit www.canyonlakeskiclub.com.
ShowCal Skier is a sanctioned club and California’s first and only water-ski show team. The club welcomes all ages 6 and older, since there is a place for everyone, even those not interested in performing. Skills training is taught for all aspects of the ski show, including audio/visual, announcing/hosting, drivers/power team, safety coordinators and equipment.
Ski disciplines include two skis, slalom, barefoot, trick, shoe ski, swivel, ballet, jump, doubles, trios, adagio, human pyramids, ATB, knee board, disc, wake board, wake skate, foil, free-style and hot dogging. Members incorporate all types of performance artistry in their water-ski shows.
