Turkey Coloring Contest attracts colorful gobblers

The Friday Flyer and the Family Matters Club teamed up again this year with the Gobbler Turkey Coloring Contest for children 12 and under.

The kids were asked to use the outline of a hand – their own, one provided by the Family Matters Club or one from The Friday Flyer – to color a turkey in celebration of Thanksgiving. Extra decorations were allowed. The Family Matters Club will give a prize for the best turkey in each of three age categories: 3 to 5, 6 to 8, and 9 to 12.

Children were able to color and submit their turkeys at the Family Matters Club booth during the club’s Halloween Carnival, or they could color their turkeys at home and bring them by The Friday Flyer office.

The top three pictures in each age category can be seen here. In addition, all entrants’ pictures can be seen at www.fridayflyer.com and also will be printed in an upcoming issue of The Friday Flyer.

Those wishing to have their child’s picture can pick them up at The Friday Flyer office in the Towne Center, 31559 Railroad Canyon Rd., Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
