Women’s Golf Christmas Tourney

The annual Christmas Tournament and Board of Directors Installation is scheduled for December 9. The 9-hole shotgun scramble will begin at 8:30 a.m. Golfers can select their own team of six players and sign up in the Golf Pro Shop. Family Golf and 9ers are invited to play. The entry fee is $35 per player. Lunch-only is available for $25. The festivities begin at the Lodge immediately after golf. The last day to sign up is December 1.

Signups are being accepted for the last Jack and Jill Tournament of the year. The Turkey Shoot, “Wanted,” is scheduled for Saturday, November 21, with an 8 a.m. shotgun. The Women’s Golf Club meets regularly on Tuesdays to play 18 holes of golf. CLWGC is a member of the Women’s Southern California Golf Association, responsible for handicapping services for members. After Lunch Bunch

With clear skies and 74-degree weather, the After Lunch Bunch enjoyed one of its largest groups last Friday, with 30 players competing in Partners Best Ball. Winners were as follows:

A Flight – 1st: Jim Paulis and Bill Hallahan, 43; 2nd: Tom Scudieri and George Lysak, 43; 3rd: Bob Stinson and Carlos Ramirez, 43; 4th: Fran Pothier and Norm Morrissette, 43.

B Flight – Jeff Roach and Randy Bonner, 43; 2nd: Hub Watson and Gordon Westby, 45; 3rd: Bill Levis and Brian Helmer, 46; 4th: Tom D’Amato and Harry Larson, 47.

Skins winners were George Lysak, Norm Morrissette, Bill Hallahan, Tom Scudieri and Carlos Ramirez.

Next week’s game will be Odd and Even; the committee will pick the teams.

The weekly game is open to all Canyon Lakers with an established handicap. Signups take place on Friday mornings in the Magnolia Room, or by phone at 249-4565 or 237-6102. Tee time is 10 a.m. The entry fee is $5; there is an optional skins game for an additional $5.

Men’s Golf

The Men’s Golf Club is a member of the Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) and holds regular open meetings the first Wednesday of each month in the Magnolia Room at the Country Club.

9ers Golf

The 9ers Golf Club is a member of the Women’s Southern California Golf Association. The group tees off at 10 a.m. on Thursdays for nine holes of golf. Any level golfer is welcome, including those who’ve only had a few lessons. Be in the Magnolia Room 30 minutes before tee time. Family Golf Club

The Family Golf Club is a member of the Southern California Golf Association (SCGA). It holds open meetings the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Magnolia Room at the Country Club.  Members play Wednesday afternoons.
