Sawyer Lanouette wins art award

Sawyer Lanouette of Canyon Lake won the Susan G. Komen art contest for her age category on October 18 at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure event at Diamond Stadium. Sawyer, 8, was awarded a certificate and gift card to the Temecula Promenade.

Her drawing featured rain falling on a flower and the words, “Life is beautiful, even when it rains.”
