And this year’s Parade of Frights winners are. . .

After trick-or-treating at businesses throughout the Canyon Lake Towne Center on October 24, everyone gathered together in front of POA/City Hall for the Costume Contest. There were three categories in four age divisions. The judges were Pam Irwin of Pac West Financial, Delores Badilla of CR&R and Miss Canyon Lake Kymberli Conn.

As usual, judging the 0 to 5 year-old age division was especially challenging due to the large number of children and their imaginative costumes.

Cutest: “Woody” from Toy Story

Scariest: Pretty zombie/dead girl

Most Original: Ninja turtle

6-9 years

Cutest: Neon one-eyed monster girl

Scariest: Space warrior boy

Most Original: Japanese Geisha girl

10-13 years

Scariest: Zombie girl

Most Original: “Smarty Pants”

14-18 years

Scariest: Spider guy

Other contests included a Guessing Jar filled with 475 candy corns and the Treasure Map drawing for prizes. Megan Pirkle, with her guess of 482, won the jar of candy. Nicole Kell was the Treasure Map grand prizer winner of the 53-inch teddy bear.

Other Treasure Map contest winners included Lauren Kauffman, Hailey Shan, Gaven Dalton, Hector Leeda Yasmine Chapel, Raegen Richard, Isabella Wesola, Amy Basset and Jason Irvin.
