All residents invited to upcoming art events

Fall Festive Friday

Shop after hours, view artists at work and enjoy new artwork on display at “Fall Festive Friday” on October 16, 5:30 to 9 p.m., at Village Lights in the Towne Center.

Antiques specialist Janis Lipson will be participating in the evening to discuss the unique antiques on display throughout the store. Visit the store’s “Venetian Room” to view Lipson’s unusual antiques and to see the artists at work.

Residents also are invited to marks their calendars for the 2015 Studio Tour on Saturday, November 14, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This free event offers the opportunity for residents to meet artists and see their work displayed at their home studios and at the Senior Center.

Paint and Wine

Community members are invited to a Paint and Wine event at the Rebelde Winery, 530 Crane St. in Lake Elsinore on Saturday, October 24, from 3 to 6 p.m. The cost of $35 will include a glass of wine, cheese and crackers, painting canvas (to take home), and the use of paints, brushes and aprons.

The event will be relaxing and entertaining for all levels of painters, even those who don’t think they can paint. Participants are asked to register and pay by credit card by October 12 by calling La Rebelde Winery at 951-741-7337 or at www.canyonlakeartassociation.com/#events.

Calling All Artists

Visual artists, ceramicists and photographers are wanted for the 2015 Canyon Lake Art Association Studio Tour on November 14. The cost to enter is $10 and participants must be a member of the Art Association ($25 membership fee). All works must be original.
