Letter: Propaganda Blast

Editor, The Friday Flyer:

It was very revealing that Treasurer McDonald chose to completely ignore Mr. Griswold’s insightful comments as to the real motive of the ridiculous recall effort we are forced to pay for and put up with.

Mr. Griswold clearly makes the point that the real reason for the recall is to force our little village by the lake into financial instability so the Goetz Hill investment group can swoop in and make a deal with either Menifee or Lake Elsinore, both highly motivated seekers of more tax revenue, and break ground on their open pit mining, ecological disaster as soon as possible.

Nowhere in Treasurer McDonald’s propaganda blast did he ever address or dispute a word of Mr. Griswold’s clear laying out of the facts relative to the real reason for the recall effort.

All of us should be clear that the recall is actually about giving the Goat Hill boys the go ahead to start open pit mining right in our back yard despite the vast majority of us clearly not in favor of allowing an ecological disaster to ruin our way of life.
