Family Golf’s Gargalis Cup winners announced

The Family Golf Club would like to congratulate the winners of the 2015 Gargalis Cup Championship, held last weekend, September 26 and 27, during hot and humid conditions.

Twenty-seven golfer participated in the tournament. The winners were:

Women’s Division – 1st: Lynne Potenza, net 148; 2nd: Denise Russell, net 165.

Men’s Division – 1st: Jim Brown, net 138; 2nd: David Campbell, net 139; 3rd: Hunter Newlin, net 140.

The club would like to thank Ivan Beyer and Golf Pro Pat Kemball for all their help with the tournament.

The Gargalis Cup is the Family Golf Club’s championship tournament. It was created in memory of the club’s founder, Micky Gargalis, who passed away from a cancerous brain tumor.

The Family Golf Club is a member of the Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) and has 108 members. It holds open meetings the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Magnolia Room at the Country Club. Members play Wednesday afternoons.
