The Canyon Lake Library and all Riverside County libraries are closed today, September 18, for staff training, though book drops are available for anyone wishing to return items. Libraries will reopen tomorrow for regular hours.

Librarian Sandra Brautigam reports that the Canyon Lake Library and the Riverside County Library System has a new program to help with homework. The service is “Scholastic GO.” The program, available at the libraries or from home, incorporates Grolier online information in a user-friendly format with tabs for all grade levels, parents and teachers.

This new program joins BookFLIX, a children’s reading and learning program, available online from home or from the library. Also, available is ABC Mouse, a learning program for young children.

During the upcoming week, the Canyon Lake Library will host Toddler Story time on Monday September 21, at 11 a.m., and Spanish Time at 3 p.m.
