Oktoberfest to be on first Saturday of October

As the days get shorter and cooler and closer to October, many people’s thoughts turn to beer and brats – also known as Oktoberfest! This year’s event, sponsored by the Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce, will be held in the upper level of the Towne Center on Saturday, October 3, from 5 to 9 p.m. It once again will feature the American Bavarian Brass Band.

The Sport Stop Pub & Grill will be selling bratwurst, hot dogs, turkey legs, German potato salad, coleslaw, macaroni and cheese and cupcakes. The Cup Above will be selling Chinese chicken dance salad and cookies. Beer, soda and water also will be for sale.

The evening’s entertainment will include games and contests for the adults, a bounce house and games for children, and shopping at vendor booths. Contact the Chamber office for booth information . They are $20 for members; $25 for non-members.
