The YMCA of Riverside County is now offering several YMCA programs to Canyon Lake community residents, starting with Summer Day Camp and Date Night.
YMCA staff currently are at the CLPOA Administrative Office from noon to 5 p.m., through July 2, to take registrations. On Saturday, June 27, YMCA staff will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Spokesperson Lillie Davis says, “YMCA programs celebrate and honor common values of respect, responsibility, honesty and caring by infusing character development into the foundation and practice of all our programs; from childcare to parent/child programs and family events – Y programs will help build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
Date Night at the Y give parents an opportunity to drop off their children, ages 6 to 12, for an evening of fun activities while they enjoy a night out. Each month Date Night will celebrate different themes like “Rock Stars and Divas,” “Dr. Seuss,” “Lego Parties” and more! Children will get to enjoy fun themes along with crafts and games. Dinner and a movie also will be provided. Date Nights in Canyon Lake are scheduled from 6 to 10 p.m. on July 11 and 25, and August 8 and 28. The cost is $25 per child per night.
Summer Day Camp at the YMCA is a week-long action-packed adventure filled with sports and outdoor activities. Morning and afternoon sessions are available daily for Canyon Lake residents. The cost is $105 per child, per session, per week. The cost for both morning and afternoon session is $175 per week.
