First Taco Tuesday draws a big crowd

The first Taco Tuesday of the season welcomed a big crowd Tuesday at the Lodge and Sunset Beach. Especially popular for the adult crowd was the 22-ounce refillable Taco Tuesday logo cup for $13, which comes with a margarita or soft drink.

Kids who bought Kid Zone wristbands had fun on a new water slide and bounce house, and/or they participated in dance contests on the patio with DJ Mike Shroyer. Many enjoyed the Hawaiian shave ice, popcorn, smoothies, frappaccinos and cotton candy sold in the snack shack.

The weekly gathering allows residents to enjoy the beauty of the lake, the camaraderie of being with friends and neighbors, a place for children to burn off energy and young adults to show off their sand volleyball skills – not to mention a satisfying selection of inexpensive food choices, drinks and snacks.
