Family Matters takes a tour of Perris PD station

On April 28, several members of the Family Matters Club visited the Perris Police Station. Perris officers took them on a tour of the department, showing them the investigation room, the gym and even the weapons locker. They also got to see the inside of a police car, where the kids had an especially fun time exploring the vehicle inside and out, and playing with the siren.

In addition, the kids got the opportunity to have their fingerprints taken and put on a monitor. Everyone was shown how a taser works and watched one actually go off. All of the kids received a goody bag with stickers and coloring books.

The Family Matters Club would like to thank the Perris Police for hosting this fun event.

The next Family Matters Club event will be held on May 18, at 4 p.m. The club has arranged for a behind-the-scenes tour of Storm Stadium, which will include the locker rooms. After the tour, everyone is invited to a baseball-style meal of hot dog, chips and a drink. This event has a $1 charge for the tour (free for children under 2). The meal, prepared by stadium employees, is $5.50 per person. Please RSVP on the Family Matters Club Facebook page.
