What is framed by your kitchen window?

Here is a new photo challenge. The kitchen window is a small space in many homes that reveals much about those who live there – whether, for example, it contains fresh flowers and potted orchids, or such practical items as dish soap and freshly washed baby toys! Sometimes it’s what is outside the kitchen window that is inspiring! What does your kitchen window frame?

The first photos in this series were featured on March 20. Three more residents have sent photos since then, revealing what is special about the window itself or what is outside the window.

Nancy Wallace’s garden window is simple and welcoming with its flowers and candles, and it also looks out on a whimsical backyard filled with flowers, birdhouses and other garden art.

Linda Hamilton’s kitchen window looks out on some busy hummingbirds and a wall display of lovely succulents.

Lynnell Henderson’s window is all about the unusual cork display that surrounds it. She says friends call her “Lil Bit Corky,” but she knows she “a lot corky.” Lynnell creates many fun things from corks (look up her Pinterest account) and says it’s a good thing she lives in Canyon Lake where there is no shortage of corks. Friends drop off bags of them at her front door.
