Woman’s Club

The next luncheon meeting will be on Wednesday, April 15, at 10 a.m. Social hour with vendors begins at 9. The speaker will be medical esthetician Rhea Ireland, who will provide the ABC’s of skin care, from sunscreen to fillers. She also will demonstrate affordable and professional skin care products.

The menu for the April meeting is starter salad with rolls, chicken crepes with white mushroom sauce and vegetables, chefs choice dessert, ice tea, hot tea and coffee. To make reservations, contact Vicki Young at 951-246-9846 or CLWClunch@gmail.com.

Ladies will not want to miss the “Swinging Sixties” Fashion Show on April 24. It includes a luncheon and fashions modeled by Canyon Lake women. For tickets, contact Sue Collins at 951-246-2773.

The club meets the third Wednesday of each month at the Lodge. It is a philanthropic organization dedicated to helping others in the community. The club also gives scholarships to local students to help them on their way to college. For more information about the Woman’s Club, contact Membership Co-Chair Pam Oskey at 909-437-4468.

Travel Club

The Death Valley adventure on April 29 to May 1 includes a guided tour of the valley and Scotty’s Castle with motor coach transportation; two-night stay at the Furnace Creek Ranch in Death Valley; and four meals, including lunch at the Pahrump Valley Winery. This is now open for reservations at $485 double or $640 single.

“The Best of Eastern Canada” is planned for September 6 through October 5, 2015 for $2,295 per person, double occupancy. Airfare round trip is approximately $795. See Canada in all it’s autumn splendor. Stay in first class hotels and sightsee by deluxe motor coach. Cities visited will include Toronto, Ottawa, Niagara Falls, Montreal, Kingston and Quebec City, with interesting side trips and many meals included. The $400 per person deposit is due before April 1. Yacht Club

Meetings of the Yacht Club are held on the fourth Thursday of the month at the Lodge. Boat ownership is not a criterion for membership. Members enjoy fun events throughout the year, including the Moonlight Cruise, Progressive Dinner, Lake Clean-Up and more. Pinochle Club

New members are welcome to join the Pinochle Club, which plays every Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Senior Center. For more information, call Marlys Shilling at 951-244-4241.

CLAWS

All Canyon Lake women are invited to attend the Canyon Lake Association of Women (CLAWS) group bunco on the second Wednesday of the month in the Magnolia Room, downstairs at the Country Club. The cost is $10 per player. Participants are asked to bring canned and packaged food for the community cupboard. Game begins at 3 p.m., please arrive 15 mins early to pick up game card and sign in. Bible Club

The Canyon Lake Bible Club meets on Thursday evenings, at 7 p.m. at the home of Steve and Ruth Martin, 23409 Silver Strike Dr. in Canyon Lake. The group is using a Canyon Lake Community Church workbook and digging into the book of Romans. Please RSVP to 951-244-2438.

Twirler Square Dance Club

The Twirlers meet on Wednesday evenings in the Holiday Bay Room at the Lodge. There is a workshop for experienced dancers from 6:15 to 7 p.m. This is followed by the Twirlers Class from 7 to 9 p.m. with instructor Vic Kaarie. Former dancers are always welcome. Dress is casual. Water Ski Club

Residents interested in joining the Water Ski Club are invited to visit canyonlakeskiclub.com for membership forms, information and news about the club. The club is comprised of skiers of all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced. In addition to having 365 days of access to one of the nicest slalom courses in the country, the club hosts several ski competitions and community events, including Breakfast with Santa, Polar Bear Day, Learn to Ski Days and the Fiesta Day Ski Show.

Bosom Buddies

The Bosom Buddies mission is to educate, inspire and support newly diagnosed breast cancer patients during their breast cancer journey. Fitness and Triathlon Club

Car Club

The Car Club holds meetings the first Thursday of each month at the Lodge. Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by the general meeting at 6:30. Learn about upcoming events, listen to guest speakers and share automotive experiences. Finger foods will be served and a 50/50 drawing will round out the evening. Roadrunners

Roadrunners RV Club dinner meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month. Social hour begins at 5 p.m. and dinner at 6. Tennis Club

The Tennis Club invites residents to come out for Social Play on Mondays and Fridays at 8 a.m. It is open to all levels of players and is a way to meet other players without committing to a schedule. Family Matters Club

The Family Matters Club is open to all residents, young and old, kids or no kids. Monthly meetings are held the first day of the month, unless otherwise noted, and revolve around a fun theme with speakers, games, prize drawings, crafts, snack and social time. Locations vary. The club puts on several events throughout the year to benefit the community and to raise funds for future events and to provide philanthropic donations. Kids Club

Kids Club meetings are held every Tuesday and Thursday, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., in the Sunset Beach Room at the Lodge. Kids Club is a program in which young children and their parents or grandparents enjoy a morning of crafts, music, exercise, games, sports and a snack for just $2 per session.
