Canyon Lake Little League games have begun

F1-PIC-38-8U-girls-softball2-DK-055Last Saturday, February 21, was the Opening Day for Canyon Lake Little League and Girls Softball. By 8:45 a.m., Gault Field was bustling with kids, parents, coaches and officials. Breakfast was provided by Wolfee’s and Rock It Taco from 7 to 9 a.m. Teams gathered on the field dressed in their uniforms, complete with team banners, and Storm’s Thunder was there to entertain and “help” emcee. The National Anthem was sung by Bailey Suttle.

After introductions and “thank-yous” by Little League President Jeff Smith to the many volunteers and officials, the teams paraded around the bases in celebration of the new baseball/softball season. The first pitch was thrown by Jacob Gavin to Travis Herbert. Games began at 11 a.m.
