Toddler Story Time with Mrs. Shirley will run each Monday at 11 a.m. (except for Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday on January 19 when the LIbrary is closed). Toddler Story Time is for children ages 0-3 for early literacy development. The story time is not just stories, as it regularly includes flannel boards, songs and other rhymes for fun and concept learning.
The Canyon Lake Knitters will resume their program for knitters of all skill levels on Wednesday, January 14, at 11 a.m. The program is part learning, part sharing and part socializing with others who enjoy knitting. The instructor can guide new knitters into the proper needles and yarn for their first project. The program meets every week and lasts one hour.
The schedule for Spanish time has been changed from every other Monday to the first and third Mondays of the month. This change was made to make it easier for participants to keep track of which Mondays the program meets. It normally meets at 3 p.m.; however, it will not meet on January 19.
Spanish Time is a fun way to learn Spanish language concepts and vocabulary. The program is designed as a beginning program for children in grades K-5, with sessions that stand alone, allowing children to begin at any time. Coloring pages, games and other fun activities are used to introduce and apply vocabulary and Spanish language concepts.
