host Winter Carnival
The Canyon Lake Family Matters Club is hosting a Winter Carnival for the community on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Holiday Harbor Park. The carnival will feature a visit from Santa and his elves, crafts, face painting, train rides, game booths, fall- ing snow, vendors and basket raffles.
The club will hold a free raffle for six Christmas trees. Winners must take trees home at the conclusion of the event.
There will be a special section for children to write letters to Santa, which can be hand delivered to Santa at the
event or be placed in a special North Pole mailbox.
The snack bar will be open and offering holiday treats.
Vendor spaces are $35 plus a do- nated item for the raffle table. For vendor information, contact Wendy at 760-888-7512 or wendysduran@ yahoo.com.
The club is seeking volunteers to help set up, work during the event and clean up at the end of the event. For volunteer information, contact Tracy Casey at 951-265-2466 or tra- cykc@gmail.com.
