Support local businesses, shop big on Small Business Saturday

Small business Saturday is an annual American shopping tradition held on the Saturday after Thanks- giving. Small Business Saturday is counterpart to Black Friday and Cyber Monday which feature big box retailers and e-commerce stores respectively. By contrast, Small Business Saturday encourages holiday shoppers to patronize brick and mortar businesses that are small and local.
Founded by American Express in 2010, Small Busi- ness Saturday is dedicated to supporting small busi- nesses and celebrating communities across the country.
Small businesses play a key role in helping com-
munities thrive. Shopping at them on Small Business Saturday, and throughout the year, can help make a positive impact on the community.
The Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce encour- ages residents to get out and shop at small local busi- nesses tomorrow. While some shops in the Towne Center will be offering specials on Small Business Saturday, its more about those small businesses being special and what they bring to the community. Whether they are a family business, local shop, service business or wholesaler, Small Business Saturday is about them and supporting a small business owner’s dream.

just a few of the Canyon Lake businesses offering spe- cials on Saturday.
The Sports Stop Pub & Grill is offering $5 off a pur- chase of $30 or more. The special excludes alcohol and is not valid with any other offer or promotion.
Canyon Lake Mattress and More is offering free local delivery, mattress haul away, mattress protector, sheet set and candle gift pack with the purchase of a bed set, excluding Regal.
