CL Lioness Club seeking donations for garage sale
The Canyon Lake Lioness Club is seeking donations for its annual ga- rage sale fundraiser. Anyone wishing to donate household items or clothing is asked to contact Joanna Spiller at 951-244-1553. Donations are needed by Tuesday, Oct. 24.
The garage sale will be held on Friday, Oct. 27, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 28, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the home of Lioness Shir- ley D’Agostino, 30489 Meadowlark Drive. Items to be sold include kitch-
enware, china, glassware, clothing, books, decorative housewares, small appliances, holiday decorations, elec- tronics and jewelry, to name a few.
The club will also be selling holi- day decorated jars of candy for $5 each. “These would make great gifts for friends or family,” said Lioness Joanna Spiller.
The proceeds from the garage sale will be used to help families in need in the community and to support orga- nizations that aid the sight-impaired.
JWC invites the community to it’s 3rd annual Rocktoberfest tomorrow at Holiday Harbor Park. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Las Vegas Victims Fund.
Rocktoberfest to benefit Las Vegas shooting victims
The Jr. Women’s Club will donate a portion of the proceeds from tomorrow’s Rocktoberfest to the Las Vegas Victims Fund. Saturday’s event runs from 1 to 5 p.m. at Holiday Harbor Park, 22180 Village Way Dr., and will feature beer tastings from local microbreweries, ven- dors, live music featuring Moon Shot, food from The Urban and opportunity drawings.
Participating breweries include In- land Wharf Brewing Co., Mason Jar Brewery, Craft Brewery, Stadium Pizza and Brewery, Hanger 24 and Electric Brewery, to name a few.
A $20 wristband includes 18 tastings and entry into vendor raffle. “We’ve had a good response from the breweries, so we’re able to offer more tastings per
stamp card this year,” said JWC Presi- dent Alissa Rackstraw. Tastings are for those 21 years old and over; ID and wristband will be required.
For more information, contact JWC President Alissa Rackstraw at 951-265- 4325 or alissa@engr.ucr.edu, or visit the club’s website at canyonlakejwc.org.
