Menifee Oktoberfest

Paws on the Promenade
The spooktacular Paws on the Prome- nade dog walk will take place on Oct. 14 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Promenade Temecula. This event features pet adoptions, treat bags for participants, vendor booths and pet parade and costume contest. Spon- sorship opportunities are available. New costume contest categories this year in- clude Spookiest, Most Original, Darling Divas, Dashing Dudes, Owner and Pet Duo (12 and under and 12 and over). Caregivers Connection
The Canyon Lake Community Church’s Caregivers Connection offers an opportunity for caregivers to share common problems, needs and experi- ences. Anyone caring for a loved one for illnesses such as dementia, Alzheimer's, stroke, heart issues or Parkinson's is welcome to attend. The group meets in Room 6 at the church on the second and fourth Monday of each month from 10

Free Sprinkler Nozzles
Elsinore Valley Water District is part- nering with Western Municipal Water District to offer up to 25 free Toro Pre- cision sprinkler nozzles to its custom- ers. The Toro nozzles are more efficient than regular pop-up spray nozzles and can help customers save both water and money. Supplies are limited.

National PTA Re ections
Temescal Canyon High School Re- flection entries are due to the school of- fice by October 13. Founded in 1969, Reflections engages nearly 300,000 students and their families in arts educa- tion activities each year by encouraging students to explore the arts for fun and recognition. The theme for this year is "Within Reach." Pre-K through grade 12 students are encouraged to submit original works of art in one or more of the following categories: Dance Cho- reography, Film Production, Litera- ture, Photography, Visual Arts, Musical Composition. Students with disabilities may receive special accommodations by entering the special Artist Division, all abilities are encouraged to participate.

Golf cart accident results in fire, injury
On Saturday, Sept. 30, at 7:02 p.m. CAL FIRE responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a golf cart on its side at Longhorn Drive and Tumbleweed Dr. Seven firefighters responded.
The first arriving engine company
reported one golf cart "fully involved with fire."
According to spokesperson Tawny Cabral, AMR transported one victim to an area hospital by ground ambu- lance with moderate injuries. There were no other injuries reported.
